The search bar
1
The three dots open and close the main menu
2
The X clears what you typed and brings the whole list back
3
The lens opens the box: typing in it narrows the list to the tracks that match. As it opens, a ready-made list of decades appears too, worked out from the tracks in the category you are listening to
☞
How to search. What you type counts twice: as plain text and as a regular expression. A track shows up if at least one of the two finds it
abcPlain text: it is searched in everything the card shows (title, original title and details line), anywhere, with no difference between upper and lower casesampei→ the Sampei tracks
'1965The year is written with an apostrophe in front, as on the card: that way it is not mixed up with the track numbers'196→ all the tracks from the '60s: it is what the list of decades types
.The dot always counts as a dotal lupo...→ Al lupo... al lupo
␣Spaces alone find nothing: to bring back the whole list use the X
☞
Regular expressions. Some symbols have a special meaning and can be combined
|Or: one of the words is enoughgas|reality→ the tracks with Gas or with reality
^At the start: the text must open the title^a tutto→ the titles that begin with A tutto
\bWhole word: the text must not sit inside another word\bgas\b→ A tutto Gas, but not Arbegas
\dAny digit'19\d5'→ the years ending in 5: 1965, 1975, 1985...
[ ]Any one of the characters in the square brackets, also a range like [0-9]'19[67]→ the '60s and '70s together
( )Round brackets group a piece of the expression(jp|us)-it→ the cartoons made in Japan or the USA and broadcast in Italy
[\s\S]*Anything in between (the dot will not do: it counts as a dot). Order matters: on the card the title comes first, then the details line with the yearhanna[\s\S]*'196→ the Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the '60s
(?=In any order: (?=...) at the start requires that part to be there, wherever it is^(?=[\s\S]*hanna)[\s\S]*'196→ again the Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the '60s, in any order
(?!Without: (?!...) at the start leaves out the tracks that contain that part^(?![\s\S]*hanna)[\s\S]*'196→ the '60s except Hanna-Barbera
\To search for a symbol as a character, put a backslash \ in front of it: [dvd] alone looks for a d or a v\[dvd\]→ the [DVD] versions
⚠A badly written expression is searched only as plain text: the list does not get stuck(158→ the text (158 as it is
